The Wine Routes create a unique experience and rekindle memories from the distant past. A story that has been going on since ancient times, especially in Crete where the wine tradition stretches back some 4,000 years.
In this place the visitor is totally surrounded by Greece’s oldest and continuously productive vineyard which generously offers its fruits. Thanks to its soil and the favorable climate conditions, it gives birth to excellent grape varieties that travel all over the world, winning over even the most demanding wine lover. After all, good wine always starts from a good vine.
Cretan Ark invites you to get to know the cretan vineyard. This is a pivotal experience as you have the opportunity to wander around old and modern wine roads and try unique labels of varieties that will be a milestone in your wine tasting.
From the Muscat of Spina, which brings out intense aromas of jasmine, citrus, apricot, herbs and flower blossoms to Vidiano, the hidden gem with the yellow-green notes and the distinctive aromas of ripe fruits.
From the red Mandilari, the king of the indigenous varieties, that offers firm tannins and a rich dynamic flavor to the Kotsifali variety, a benchmark of red wines, that presents a balanced tannic grace and a richness of wild flowers, dried black fruits and spices and finally to the famous and amazing red Liatiko that seduces with notes of red fruits and sweet spices.

Your tasting tour also includes stops in wine roads of the past. You will enjoy varieties such as dafni, thrapsathiri, romeiko and also aged liatiko. Wine routes with tradition, authenticity and unsurpassed glory.
